I am not an adventurous eater nor is my husband. We knew before our trip to Prague that we would need to research places for us to eat. Thankfully we found Prague to have amazing restaurants beyond your traditional Czech cuisine. If you are taking a trip to Prague and looking for non-traditional (and family-friendly) restaurant options take a look below.

Bakeries/ Snacks

Bakeshop is located around the corner from the Spanish Synagogue in Old Town. It is the perfect place to grab a coffee or bite to eat before or after your tour of the Jewish Quarter. Arrive hungry because everything looks delicious! Open daily 7am - 9pm. Family Friendly.

Cacao is conveniently located in New Town steps from Hilton Old Town and Obecni Dum. This casual cafe is known for their coffee and homemade ice cream! Family Friendly. Open Monday - Thursday 8:30a - 10:30pm, Friday - Sunday 9:30 - 11pm.

Good Food

Good Food puts a modern spin on the classic chimney cake, Trdelník. Their ice cream filled chimney cake is worth waiting in line for. This sugar-coated pastry filled with soft serve ice cream is mouthwatering. They are large enough to share but I am not sure you will want to. Located in Old Town near the Charles Bridge makes this the perfect snack to take with you while you explore Prague and admire its beautiful architecture. Open daily 10am - 10pm.

Next Door

Next Door is a kid-friendly Czech bistro that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is located in New Town. The restaurant is surprisingly airy and modern on the inside. If you are like us you won't pass up a slice of cake after being tempted by their wall of cakes when you first walk in! Open daily 7am - 11pm.

Agave is a beautiful Mexican restaurant located steps from Old Town square. Their guacamole, nachos, and salads were excellent! Their tacos and burritos also looked superb. Reservations required in advance. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

George Prime Steak

George Prime Steak is an American steakhouse serving excellent steaks with five-star service. We were told they served the best steaks in town and we believe it. Their truffle mac and cheese is not to be missed. It is well worth the splurge. Not kid friendly. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Marina Ristorante

Marina Ristorante came highly recommended by our tour guide from our free walking tour. This Italian restaurant is situated on a boat along the Vltava River. Once inside you are greeted with the beautiful views of Castle Hill and surrounding areas including the famous Charles Bridge. If you travel to Prague with kids this restaurant was very family friendly! Open daily 11:30am - 11pm.

Meat and Greet Burger

If you are looking for one of the best burgers in town this is the place to go. Meat and Greet puts a twist on your traditional burger and fries. Salads and veggie burgers are also available if you don’t eat meat. Be sure to make a reservation. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Pizza Nuova

This unassuming restaurant from the outside turned out to be a beautiful modern restaurant on the inside. We each ordered one of their delicious wood-fired pizzas because we couldn't decide on just one, however one pizza can easily be shared. Great option if traveling with kids. Located in Old Town and open daily for lunch and dinner.
